Tallinder out

News today is that Henrik Tallinder, a defenseman for Buffalo, is out for the playoffs with a broken arm. If the Canes can come back and tie the series up tomorrow, this could be huge. Over a long series, the lack of depth on defense will hurt the Sabres - possibly giving the Canes the edge they need to break an incredibly even series.

We still have yet to see a game where both teams are playing well. They're taking turns right now. Strangely, when Briere is captain of the Sabres, he plays better.
