One of the things that made the Hurricanes successful last season was their ability to turn the other cheek when provoked; not taking the stupid retaliation penalty, keeping their heads about them, and making their opponents pay on the score board. Against the Montreal Canadiens tonight I saw that discipline and willingness to do what it takes for the team to succeed for the first time since last season.
The Hurricanes bombarded the Habs with nearly 50 shots on goal. Huet was stellar, but eventually the torrent broke the dam and the goals started coming. Very good effort from the boys in red and hopefully then can use this as a turning point to get back to winning with regularity.
