As of last night's game against Columbus, the lines were approximately this:
Staal (C) - Cole, Whitney
Brind'Amour (C) - Williams, Ladd
Letowski (C) - Walker, C Adams
K Adams (C) - Bayda, LaRose
Commodore - Hutchinson
Wesley - Babchuk
Wallin - Tanabe
The lines changed many times and certain players definitely looked more tuned in than others. Babchuk needs to let loose with his shot from the point more often. Commodore was the best defenseman on our side by far. Walker was everywhere, Hutchinson was horrible, and Bayda was not impressive. So what does this mean off the bat? I think Bayda is the odd man out, first off, and the forward lines can be changed to something resembling this:
Staal (C) - Cole, Whitney
Brind'Amour (C) - Williams, Ladd
Belanger (C) - Walker, Letowski
K Adams (C) - LaRose, C Adams
Like I said, there were a lot of line changes and I wouldn't be shocked if the third wing on the top three lines (Whitney, Ladd, Walker) are shifted around in some order. As for the defense, I think Jason Wooley is gone. He didn't play last night, which was probably a sign of things to come. Hutchinson still isn't doing anything to knock my socks off, which would make two. That puts Wesley, Hedican, Wallin, Commodore, Gleason, Tanabe, and Babchuk as the seven defensemen on the roster until Frankie gets back.
