Ottawa

The Hurricanes traveled to Ottawa tonight on the heels of a 9-0 drubbing courtesy of the Atlanta Thrashers. The Senators are arguably the best team in hockey and on a winning streak of their own. The 'Canes came to play and netted a pair in the second period that, against all odds and statistics, stood up for the win. Ottawa's high powered offense could only manage one goal against Martin Gerber and their dangerous power play was shut out. Great win for the 'Canes - it was nice to see them bounce back.
