I wasn't sure what write about today until my friend Bob IM'd me to see if I had witnessed "the goal" last night in the Rangers/Capitals game. Marek Malik, a former Hurricane himself, was part of an epic shootout - he was the 15th shooter for the Rangers. Figuring he had nothing to lose, he did this.
I had to watch it twice before I believed it. I've seen people do things like this in practice or in all-star games, but never at a time when it actually counted for something. It's especially impressive considering he's a defenseman and he has yet to score a goal all year.
Other than this, I watched a subpar hockey game tonight and found out that a friend is pregnant. Busy day.
