I took Athena to the game last night, as Elizabeth was stuck working her usual Thursday night shift at the library. Athena was full of energy when we got to the game, jumping and dancing around like a mad woman. The Canes played well too, with Kevyn Adams scoring the hat trick and generally dominating the Rangers' top line of Jagr, Straka, and Nylander. The final was 5-1 in favor of the good guys. The crowd was lively, although a little late in filling up the stands.
That's something that people in other markets see when watching on TV. By the end of the first period the crowd got settled in, but at the beginning of the game you see a lot of empty seats. Anyway, Athena survived the game, cheered and clapped, and promptly fell asleep five seconds after hitting the car seat in the parking lot. The both of us were pretty tired anyway and had some trouble getting up this morning.
