Moe's 5, Ice Hawks 2

We didn't quite have enough last night. Moe's is a team identified by the league as being too good for the competition. They haven't lost a game all season and have three players atop the scoring leaderboard by a considerable margin. We knew it was going to be tough going in.

There was only one referee, which is always bad in this league. Biggie Ellis was hacked across the bridge of the nose and bled like a stuck pig. The other guy got 2 minutes for incidental high sticking. In the process of swatting the puck, I pretty much hacked a guy across both ankles with no call. Furthermore, in his anger he tripped someone and got called for a penalty. Weird. The team as a whole had a few chances - Bruce and I both had breakaways - but we couldn't convert enough to make a difference.

There were all sorts of problems with the score clock too. There were delays trying to fix that in addition to the earlier blood clean up. Overall, it was very disjointed and messy.
